Kim Eierman made the transition from the wilderness of Wall Street to the much tamer profession of native landscape consulting and never regretted the switch.  She founded Kim’s Native Landscape Consulting in 2008 to provide property owners with an eco-friendly approach to landscaping.  She has been passionate about native plants and ecological landscaping for over 15 years.  Kim earned a certificate in horticulture from the New York Botanical Garden and is a graduate of the Cornell Master Gardener Program, and the Organic Land Care Program of NOFA.  She has studied at the New England Wildflower Society, Rutgers’ Wetlands, Soils and Ecology Program and the Institute of Ecosystem Studies.

Her major interests in horticulture and landscaping include: converting average suburban properties into native sanctuaries, landscaping to support native wildlife including:  birds, bees and other beneficial insects, utilizing eco-friendly and organic methods, and solving erosion, storm-water and wetlands problems through natural means.

Kim is member of:  The Native Plant Center, The New York Botanical Garden, Ecological Landscaping Association, NOFA Organic Land Care Program, International Society of Arboriculture, Society for Ecological Restoration, The Wildlife Society, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, Environmental Concern, The Xerces Society,  Pollinator Partnership, Torrey Botanical Society, Bedford Audubon Society, Teatown Lake Reservation,  American Conifer Society, The Herb Society of America, Garden Writers Association, etc.
